We edit a variety of materials, such as medical books, reports, articles, CSRs, and web sites, as well as non-medical books, both fiction and non-fiction, articles, and web sites. We edit to the level appropriate for your project and your requirements: proofreading and spell checking; copy edits (word usage, sentence structure, sentence transitions, clarity); developmental edits (content structure, content flow, readability, audience appropriateness); and overall design. For web sites, in addition to content, we can review the site for design and its navigation system.
We understand that every indexing project is unique and requires
a unique approach. How you apply the "rules" of professional indexing
is both a creative and an analytical endeavor. We especially value the
editing phase of an index. We can evaluate your indexes; we will edit
indexes we have not created.
Good design, whether it is for an article or a book is a combination of well-written content presented in a consistent
effective style using a solid structure
appropriate for the target audience. We are knowledgeable about a
variety of commonly used style guides and professional approaches to
document and book design.
If you have a book to produce, Printed Page has recently added project management to its list of offered services. We can help you develop your concept, then edit and index the book. We also work with other specialists, such as designers, publicists, distribution specialists, and an attorney, to help you complete the production, print, and distribution cycle.
